Top Ten for Privateer Nicoletti on Öhlins at Budds Creek

June 26th 2012

Mechanicsville, Maryland: Motocross racer Phillip Nicoletti rode to his best finish so far in the 2012 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross 250 class championship, finishing ninth in Moto 2, thus earning a 10th Overall when added to his 14th from Moto 1, at Budds Creek in Mechanicsville, Maryland on June 16, 2012.

Nicoletti inexplicably cut a cool consistent four-to-six seconds off his lap times from Moto 1, to finish on the same lap as the leader in Moto 2. Nicoletti was totally speechless afterward, unable to comment on his reduced lap times. This reticent Cohocton, New York native, from the western-end of the state, rode his Team eleven10Mods Honda CRF250R with Öhlins suspension to this best finish, after recording an official lap-led earlier in the season, just not a last lap led.

Watch for the taciturn Nicoletti to take his number-715 Honda closer to the top at the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Round 6, at RedBud in Buchanan, Michigan, July 7.
