Giant Öhlins Trackside Service for All AMA Pro Superbike Events

March 8th 2012

Parked in the primary lane of garages at Daytona International Speedway, the new, larger, more efficient Öhlins Mobil Service Trailer is as promised: a paddock presence of proper proportion.

Hendersonville, North Carolina: Many have asked, here’s the answer: For the 2012 racing season, Öhlins USA is providing upgraded, heavyweight service at all AMA Pro Superbike events, in an all-new, bigger, smarter, prettier trailer than ever before. Most importantly, this mobile service center will be manned by the best suspension technicians on the North American Continent, and equipped with the latest high-tech testing and servicing equipment.

Leading the Öhlins Suspension Crew at the AMA Road Racing Nationals is Jon (That’s Canadian for “John”.) Cornwell, former 250GP racer and World Superbike suspension technician. With Cornwell is the mostly-regular-yet-sometimes-rotating assortment of technicians: Eric Knight, Brad Stokes, Matthew Hickson, and Lenny Albin.

The Öhlins mobile racing service center is bigger than any before, and it will be conveniently located near the center of the AMA paddock at every AMA Superbike event, supporting riders using Öhlins suspension components and the new-for-2012 TTX MKII twintube shock. The only measure of racing performance is what happens on the racetrack, and this improved mobile service center’s only purpose is to assist riders in getting the most from their Öhlins suspension and dampers.

All racers using Öhlins suspension components need to know that Öhlins USA is at the track to serve suspension needs, from privateer to factory rider. Attached spy photos reveal the exterior of the all-new and improved Öhlins mobile service center. The three-dimensional, high-resolution version of the trailer will be available for viewing at Daytona International Speedway, March 15-17.

Öhlins USA distributes and services the world’s leading performance suspension components for automobiles, motorcycles, and ATVs. Öhlins develops its proprietary and trend-setting suspension components, steering dampers and oils, at the highest levels of racing from open-wheel car racing, to Moto GP, to off-road competition on two and four wheels. Öhlins USA also provides training for service centers and dealers.
